Ministries at Aldersgate 2010

"Ministry for all ages" is not a phrase we use lightly, Ministry directors of Aldersgate 2010 have a passion for the body of Christ to be filled, gifted, empowered and led by the Holy Spirit in ministry to the world.  All of our ministry directors are prayerfully and carefully selected.  Get ready to be blessed by some of the best of the best in the United Methodist Church.

Children's Ministry

For preschool and elementary children, Aldersgate is an opportunity to experience God in fun and meaningful ways.  Children participate in Spirit-filled worship and Bible-based learning experiences designed to allow them to meet Jesus and experience the power of the Holy Spirit… either for the first time or in new ways.  Through the Aldersgate Conference, children have the opportunity to grow as young disciples and ministers of the gospel.

Youth Ministry (The Gate 2010)

Youth Ministry called The Gate is on a mission to impact students and reinforce their church youth groups by exposing them to national speakers and relevant equipping session leaders. Students will be challenged, equipped and ready to lead their generation to Christ.

The Gate is a youth conference birthed through Aldersgate Renewal Ministries.  Aldersgate has always had a youth element as a part of the annual Aldersgate conference, and while The Gate is a continuation of that, it really is a new thing. Along with the creation of The Gate, we've created a new identity and launched the website to keep everyone informed as much as possible about the conference.

Adult Ministry

Adult Ministry is designed for adults to be filled, gifted, empowered and led by the Holy Spirit through authentic worship celebrations, powerful keynote speakers and over 30 dynamic equipping sessions. Bring your church staff, Bible study group, and Sunday school class. Lay leaders will walk away feeling empowered with new vision and training to grow your church.

Clergy Ministry

We welcome senior pastors, associate pastors, deacons, church staff members, youth pastors, missionaries, all kinds of clergy to Aldersgate 2010!  If you come feeling empty we believe that the Holy Spirit will fill you up at the Aldersgate Conference.  If you come wounded we believe the Holy Spirit wants to heal you at the conference.  If you come already on fire for God we believe you will receive even more--more fire, more revelation, more power, and more impartation.  You will get to hear great speakers in general sessions and equipping sessions.  You will get to worship freely, without having any responsibilities during the worship times.  You will have opportunities to get prayed for and ministered to.  This is an opportunity to take your ministry to a whole new level!

We have a special Clergy & Spouse Breakfast for you and your spouse (if you have a spouse).  This is a time to fellowship with other clergy families at the conference and to hear a speaker speak directly to clergy.

If you come with children and youth, you will find the children and youth programs at Aldersgate 2010 to be excellent and life changing.  They are not times to just “occupy” the children and young people, they are real ministry times when your children and youth will be ministered to by an awesome staff.

Aldersgate Renewal Ministries offers Continuing Education Units for the Aldersgate conference.  These can be a valuable part of your ongoing plan for continuing education with your District Superintendent and  Board of Ordained Ministry.  You might check for available continuing education funds to help you come to Aldersgate 2010 from your Board of Ordained Ministry and your local church.  Aldersgate Renewal Ministries has some limited scholarship funds and might help after other sources of funds have been used.

Pastors who host one of our team-led local church renewal events at their church receive a voucher for a free family registration to Aldersgate.

Dr. Frank Billman has been in local church ministry for 30 years, he continues to pastor a local church, and is our Director of Church Relations.  He’d love to hear from you if you are a pastor thinking about attending Aldersgate 2010 and have questions.  You can contact Frank by calling the ARM office at 1-877-857-9372 or by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
